When using the filter function in the new BETA viewer, why does the expression not auto populate with the unique features of the column you selected?

For example, if I want to filter 'Fruit is ___', and my column is composed of fruits containing: peaches, mangos, berries, and bananas, why are those unique identifiers not popping up? Currently, I have to know exactly what the column is composed of by opening the attribute table and typing it in. In the Arc Desktop version, if I want the column 'Fruit is ___' then hit, "unique", all of the options for the column auto populate. Is this a developing feature for the BETA or traditional viewer?
