I am trying to add a feature layer to quick capture from ArcGIS Online.

The layer is proxied from Arc GIS Server 10.5 with the appropriate security.

The credentials were stored when adding to ArcGIS online

I can use this data in Arc Collector but wanted a more simple interface.

I get the attached error when I try to add the feature layer. Can anyone help with this?#esritechnicalsupport

I, too, have this question. I'd love to hear a reply. Thanks in advance. Jack

I'm wondering if the answer to the question is related to the number of fields and lists within fields, ie., Quick Capture can only populate X number of fields?

I just ran into this error. Have you found a solution?

I figured out my issue with the target hosted feature layer: I was using Custom Images for Unique Symbols.

Apparently, QuickCapture doesn't allow for buttons to be  created from custom images; once I updated symbology to symbols from AGOL style files, I was able to create the project.

I created a hosted feature layer from scratch in our Portal on 10.7.1 and I am still getting "Can't use this feature layer due to an unknown error". It only has 4 text fields and 1 date field. I haven't set any symbology or anything on it. I also can't create a project using the templates as it gives me pretty much the same error.
