Hi, so I'm working in ArcMap10.6, and I'm trying to update a coded parcel map. I've attached a photo of what I'm trying to do in case I don't explain very well.
I have the 2019 coded parcel dataset, and the updated 2020 one. For example, if there's a subdivision that happened in a parcel, is there a way I have update the existing coded shapefile, without changing everything? Basically just inserting the changed parcels would be uncoded and everything that was unchanged would stay the same? I've tried merging the layers but it always comes out a little funky. I'm kind of at a loss of how to achieve this, if its possible. This is not a parcel fabric, just a polygon shapefile.
