The Response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues and many of those involved will provide input on successes and challenges to this unprecedented event to their own agencies and organizations. The use of geospatial analysis and visualization for tracking cases, identifying shortages for health and medical equipment, managing the supply chain, and tracking economic impacts has been front and center.  Over the past few months, Geospatial Analysts have been working to support decision-makers and inform the public on a different kind of crisis.

As we all continue to support the response and eventual recovery, it is important to document those lessons learned as well as those achievements. I am starting this open and ongoing discussion to begin to capture what the Geospatial community has experienced. Looking for constructive comments on challenges but also ideas on solutions.

Thoughts for the discussion:

How can we better prepare? Short-term and Long-term

What innovative solutions (technical or non-technical) did your organization achieve during this response?
