my shapefile has Nepal_MUTM_Central_84_Everest_1830 as the coordinate system, it does not align with the basemap, what can be the possible ay to have it aligned with the world base map?

The base map is the light grey canvas that automatically loads in ArcMap, layer properties shows the projection is WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere and the shape file is in Nepal_MUTM_Central_84_Everest_1830
What geographic transformation is used to convert between WGS 1984 and Everest 1830? It might be that your misalignment is caused by incorrect transformation or the lack of it.
