How to Export to PDF with Legend

I am using version is 9.3.1. I created a some Schematics diagrams, but how to export the Schematics to  a PDF With Symbolgy legend. I can able to copy the diagram but able to copy the legend.

Are you exporting to PDF from Layout view? In ArcMap Layout view, use Insert > Legend option and select symbology to be included in Legend; then from File > Export Map dialog change Save as File Type to PDF and finish wizard. The resulting PDF displays the Legend with desired symbology.
