I recently moved to 10.8 from 10.5.1 and had a couple of observations that I was curious if others were seeing.
1 - Recent maps list not updating in startup dialog. I tend to have multiple instances of ArcMap running for various tasks. What I am observing is it appears that the recent map list in the open dialog and the MRU list in the file menu do not update when more than one instance of ArcMap is running leading me to hunt for the work I had open the day before. If only one instance of ArcMap is running the lists start populating.
2 - File Menu lag time. In comparison to the other menus (Edit, View, Bookmarks, ...) the file menu has a significant lag when opening. This becomes very irritating when attempting to export a pdf, publish a service, ...
Have others observed these new features?
