Webmap retains scales from previous basemap

Hi

When we create a webmap it uses our default, which is a cahced map on our server. If we want to change it to a different basemap (in the most recent case ESRI UKs OS Greyscale Tile), the webmap seems to retain the scales from the original map rather than those that the new basemap is designed for. Does anyone know a way round this? Ideally we could open a new map without a basemap at all like you can in ArcMap or Pro.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark Cooper,

Cool, I didn't know these Free Services | Esri UK yet.

When you use the OS Open Greyscale as a basemap, it will only allow you to zoom in to a certain level:

One option would be to build a web app, using the Web AppBuilder, as this will allow you to add additional levels of display (LODs) - see for example this thread.

HTH,
