Tracker upload frequency

Hi,

We are currently developping a solution that would use Tracker's breadcrums of field worker to see if their position is within a buffer of a line asset. With an ETL we are analazing the Hosted Feature produced by Tracker in relation to our buffer and it is working fine. The problem we are having is the 30 sec delay for Tracker to send the position to the server. When our tech are driving, the refresh rate is just too slow. Is there a way of increasing the frequency (10 sec)?. If not, what could help us is if we could see the Tracker breadcrums in Explorer or Collector but in "realtime", as you see it in Tracker. They need to view where they are in relation to our asset.

Also, as a comment, we realized that when the type of locomation is changing, let's from automative to walking, Tracker stops recording for a good 2 minutes.

Thank you

Hi you're in luck both of those requests are in the pipeline and will be available soon.

With the next release of the Tracker in December we will be supporting custom frequencies for the track upload and last known location updates. This will only apply if the app is deployed via an Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. You will be able to set the LKL update frequency to a minimum value of 5s.

The next update for Collector iOS will support showing local tracks collected in Tracker in near realtime even when offline. This will be coming to future versions of Explorer iOS and Workforce iOS as well (both of which will have betas soon). There currently is no timeline for showing tracks in other apps on the Android platform.

What kind of device are you using and which operating system when you see the issue with the activity changing?
