Hi. The list of supported GNSS receivers by QuickCapture is at: Use a high-accuracy receiver—QuickCapture | Documentation  The answer to your question is going to vary depending on multiple factors:

  • What is the accuracy you need for your workfow. There are some very accurate receivers (more expensive) and others that are less accurate but more affordable).
  • What are the field conditions where you work. Some receivers are rugged, others not. Some work best than others under canopy. Some work better than others in remote areas, etc.
  • What is your budget.
  • GNSS vendors offer different levels of technical support depending where you are.
  • etc.

Does it matter they all use the same satellites.

Or are you asking what is the best brand of receiver.

Thought it is my understanding GNSS is more designed for navigation and GPS is more designed for greater positional accuracy.

I work for FDOT, the data collection are both for inventory and maintenance purposes, the accuracy is very crucial due of the amount and distance between the signs, lights, etc.  The area are mostly urban, sometimes remote areas.
