For ArcGIS Pro, which is the better option?
What's diffirent between them?
Do you perfer gaming or working grapic card? ( like RTX or Quadro)
Is itright to say that DirectX for RTX and OpenGL for Quadro?
I stay with gaming GPUs, but realistically that because: 1. I work from a personal computer (custom built) and I still game; 2. The Quadro line is just too expensive for my applications. My organization will not reimburse me for hardware expenses since they “will provide me with a dell laptop for work use.” For super heavy computing, I move to servers.
RE: OpenGL or DirectX, I’m curious about that myself, I haven’t seen any solid benchmarks comparing them.
LTT does a pretty good comparison of Quadro and Rtx (see below) and it seems like unless you need a ton of VRAM, it’s not worth the price. I don’t think there are enough GPU functions in ArcPro at present to justify it. Video editing/rendering, for sure, but not in the GIS world yet.
