Endlessly repeating embedded videos are
Would you PLEASE have them only play once, with a play button to repeat?
ah.. okay so looking at the example you shared, this is an embedded animated gif, not a video so the video settings do not apply, (which are set to no auto play). I am not sure if I have the ability to change gif settings, but not sure I do.
Hi Mark, I am sorry you are experiencing this issue, could you provide me a link with where you are experiencing it. I checked the community settings and our videos are not set to auto play or repeat. I checked out a couple of videos to confirm this. But if you can direct me to where you are experiencing this I can investigate further with our vendor support team.
Here's a recent example, but I know I've seen others:
Hold down mouse wheel until cursor changes to roam in ArcGIS Pro and Runtime .NET
Also, embed video wasn't working for me this morning. It uploaded, but never appeared after I inserted it.
Thanks Mark, I will take a look at this and see if there is anything i can do. Also we are aware that the video service we are currently using is not always stable and sometimes takes a few attempts to embed a video and is continually being addressed by our vendor. We hope to have a better option in the future.
Incredibly annoying in all caps? How many of these videos/clips have you come across on GeoNet? I have a hard time believing enough of them to get someone worked up.
As pointed out by Michelle already, what you are seeing is an animated GIF and not a video. The looping behavior of an animated GIF is determined when it is created. If looping GIFs are a big issue, each browser can be configured to disable them.
