ZipReader can't open file on iPad

I am trying to open a .zip file that is stored as an attachment to a feature. I give the ZipReaser object the path to the attachment, then call zipReader.refresh(), and then I check the number of files with if (zipReader.fileNames.length > 0) ... It is when I try to get the list of filenames, I get an error that says the zip file is not open and then it prints the correct path to the zip file.

I am running my app through AppStudio Player on an iPad, but running the same app on AppStudio Player on multiple windows machines, the ZipReader is able to open the file. Does ZipReader not work on iOS? Any help would be appreciated.
