Hi. I'm working on a public facing application and would like to share ESRI World Traffic service in the app. It is classified as subscriber content, meaning that in order to view it one would need a named user account. However, the description states that it can be accessed in the following manner: "Register an application and use your application's credentials". Great - but I'm not clear if that would just allow sharing within my organization or would it allow sharing with anyone? General public?

Thanks

Hi Zorba Conlen‌,

It depends on the services accessed. This link explains what the app login authenticates for. Since the Esri World Traffic Service is an Esri-hosted subscriber service, this should be accessible to the general public.

You may also want to look into configuring a proxy: Working with Proxy Services | ArcGIS for Developers

Hope that helps,

Got this working with the proxy like suggested. Thanks.
