I am trying to understand how ArcMap works out total cost of path after applying the weights. I am working on water network for tracing between two points after applying weight of ration of Length / Diameter. I do get expected result after applying same weight to edges from-to and to-from. Total cost is equal to the sum of weighs.
When I apply weight either to-from or from-to, total cost more than the weight of sum and different in each case.
Does anybody know what is happening and how ArcMap calculates the total cost of trace.
My second question is related to how to sort the trace result of edges in from_point to to_point order.
