I am trying to understand the workflow for working with worldview-2 multispectral imagery in ArcGIS Pro 2.4. I am relatively new to some aspects of imagery processing, so forgive any mistakes.
I have downloaded 1-B imagery from WV-2 that I want to (1) orthrorectify, (2) remove clouds, (3) generate the apparent reflectance and finally (4) extract data at points from the mosaic. I have created a mosaic dataset, but then when I try to orthorectify, I receive an error message that "this tool does not support mosaic datasets". This suggests I need to orthorectify all the individual rasters first. This seems like it defeats the purpose of using mosaic datasets if I have to prep everything first.
I have read through "MDCS – Mosaic Dataset Configuration Script Usage Documentation", but this, in some ways, seems more complicated than simply writing a python script. I am not sure how an XML file makes things easier for me.
What is the proper steps for doing what I want to do?
