What is the grid for coordinates in Switzerland

I have some coordinates from Switzerland

488500112100

But they didnt give me a coordinate system. Doing some research I found they use a grid in metters but not sure what is the one they use.

What is the most common grid used in europe?

It is probably EPSG:21781, CH1903 / LV03. The coordinates you posted are southwest of Geneva. There are 2 other possible Swiss projected coordinate systems--but those coordinates don't fall within the country if you use either of the other projected coordinate systems.
