Popup Content Showing Markup. How to Stop?

In my Story Map Series I have simple popups, which include simple text and hyperlinks.  The problem I am having is that when I actually show the map (like the user would see it), the popup shows markup text which pertain to the text or the like.  See example image below.    I don't know what is going  on and how to prevent, because I don't want users to see this.   I don't know if it has anything to do with me using ArcGIS Online in Google Chrome on a Macbook.
