I have 30 monthly tiff images of MOD11A2, and I created a time-series layer stuck using RStudio. Now I want to locate which pixels have the biggest standard deviation, so I can focus my analysis on these specific pixels. Should I try to locate them on each raster or I can find them using the time-series stack?  I can't figure this out. I am sorry if my question is broad.

You could use  the CellStatistics tool.

Thank you for your fast reply. Use the tool to the time-series stack layer you mean? What I have thought is this: from the 8day products of MOD11A2 which I had, I should create monthly products using the sd and then to use the tool.

I have tried the tool. My question is: how does the tool computed the value of a given pixel x? It used the overlapping pixels, right?
