When we create/add GlobalID field to a feature class which is in SQL Server DB, in which case it would get created?

Hi All,

When we create/add a GlobalID field to a feature class which is in SQL Server (ArcSDE on SQL Server), what would be the default name of the field. Would it be in all capital letters like, GLOBALID or GlobalID or globalid?

Is it possible to rename it while having data in feature class and without loosing data and with same global ids maintained in db.

The field comes as "GlobalID".

You should not rename it. It will corrupt geodatabase.

It is used as unique identifies in many case such as geodatabase replication and data copy etc.
