SDE in Oracle Database Environment Training

Hello,

We have a programmer in our department who has approached the GIS Team requesting info on different training opportunities associated with the work they do here.

This individual does a lot of scripting in PLSQL in an Oracle Environment in which we have an SDE database. We are always banging against different issues, and feeling our way through it, but I was wondering if there are any formal training opportunities out there that would be beneficial for us. Looking through the ESRI Trainings there doesn't seem to be much applicable.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi Bret,

Based on what you've described, you could direct your staff member to learn about enterprise geodatabases (as ArcSDE deployed in an Oracle database is an enterprise geodatabase). Some suggestions:

• Getting Started with the Geodatabase
• Building Geodatabases - 3 day course
