I recently got the student package for ArcGIS and I installed ArcMap 10.6.1. When I click it's saying cannot connect to ArcGIS license manager running on host "Not_Set". Thank you

Is it this access point? or were you supposed to be given access through a university or college?
Yes I paid for the full year subscription
I paid for the $100 student subscription
Did you receive any authorization numbers? You will most likely be issued a single use license. Here are steps on how to authorize:

I sorry I got it from the access point not from my university
make sure you login as indicated in my post. If you were emailed an authorization number, sometimes they go to your email's 'Junk' folder, so check there.
Nicholas, can you attach a screenshot to show where you're getting stuck?
I would recommend reaching out to customer service (888-377-4575). They should be able to provide you your authorization number.
You may have chosen the incorrect "product" in the ArcGIS Administrator Wizard. In the screenshot below, there are six different options. Do you know which one you bought with your subscription?
The error you are receiving is likely due to the fact that you do not have the right product selected in the ArcGIS Administrator - like Wendy Barrios mentioned. In your start up menu you can find your ArcGIS Administrator and check what product you are trying to license. The error you are receiving often occurs if you have checked off concurrent use - you SHOULD have single use checked off. Find out what type of software package you have and check off the appropriate application in the ArcGIS Aministrator - I'm guessing it's probably Advanced (ArcInfo) Single Use
It's hard to say for sure since I don't know what type of software you are licensed for.
Hope this helps.
