Raster file format, best practice?

Question asked by AxelM8 on Oct 22, 2018

I am georefering hundreds of map parts and have saved all raster in JPG to save space. But now I have little second thought on that perhaps it might not be the best file format for raster in ArcGIS Pro. For example, I am guessing, the compressed JPG-files require a higher processor load then tiffs? That it probably would make my project slower than necessary? Are there other differences? Does ArcGIS Pro like job as much as tifs in regard of functions and features?
