adding downloaded data bug

I can not add downloaded data to ArcPro unless I close Arc Pro and reopen it. I can navigate to the folder that the layer is in and nothing will be listed, close Pro, re open and go to the same folder and its there..... This bug has continued into the latest version recently released. Does anyone know when this will be addressed? Really tired of this backwards workflow, especially with how slow pro is.
