We just recently moved to https only to access our urls. is there  a way to batch update layers to https in AGO instead of going to each individual web map and clicking on the update button

You may be able to script something, but through the ArcGIS Online application, you will need to update each web map.

As an admin I am having a hard time prepping for the switch to https and want to go about it very intentionally... without a bulk option it seems like it's going to require a lot of coordination with all of our content owners to update URLs to https unless we admins go in and do it ourselves, which will take a lot of time. Is ESRI planning to add any functionality to help with the transition, or am I not understanding the process correctly?  And what if a layer isn't in a webmap but standalone? How do we update the layer to HTTPS?

Following, I'd be interested to see if anyone has a script for this.

Hi Danielle,

I added a few recommendations this thread Allow access to the organization through HTTPS only.

I made a few suggestions about using some web map specific tools. I would recommend using these over creating a batch script so you can identify if the servers that you are referencing have https enabled on them. Let me know if any of those suggestions will work.
