I already have 1km res METOP_AVHRR_S10, but I need to work with 250m res. MOD13Q1 250m res 16 day data is  accessible via Nasa’s https://modis.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/dataprod/mod13.php but I cannot manage to make wget tool work on my win64bit laptop and the technical support says the command works fine on their side. Does USGS allow public access and download of multiple files through FTP?

Any help?

Thanks,

Hi Nelson,

There are a couple ways to skin this cat, especially with all of the different data delivery services in NASA.

Try this one first at the Land Processes DAAC. I would note that the follow-on to MODIS (VIIRS) is available from NOAA and there are several veg products available, but not at 250m. There's 500, 750m, and up.

wrt to wget, I had similar problems. Tried the JDownloader2 tool and that worked great.

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks Dan.

I will have a look at your suggestions, meanwhile I’ve used BOKU Vienna portal/application: http://ivfl-info.boku.ac.at/satellite-data-processing/dataprocess-global , it allows you to select the working area (clips it) and place an order, you can download using FTP (filezilla…). MODIS NDVI 250m res 16 and 10 days.
