Is there a way as the Administrator of the crowdsourced map that I can change the name on an entry. I got a request to change the wording and I don't see a way to do so. thanks.
Sure. The feature layer/service is just the point layer in the map that contains all the crowdsource contributions. The item can be found alongside the map and application item. The name will be similar although it will not contain spaces.
I believe this is the item that you are looking for: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=ca873d17846345af9b170b34554cc1e7.
Once you log in, you can edit the contributions in a table by clicking on the "Data" tab. The "name" and "description" fields are probably the only fields you'll want to edit. Just double click a cell, make the changes, and click outside that cell. The changes should be reflected the next time you refresh the app.
You cannot do this through the app but you can open the feature service in web map viewer (make sure to choose the "full admin" permission's option) and edit the fields in the popup.
Thank you but I don't see a way to open it with full admin permissions?
You'll need to open the feature service item, not the web map item. Then the "Open in Map Viewer" button should contain a dropdown that allows you at open with admin permissions.
Yikes I have no idea what a "feature service item" is. It might be easiest to ask the person to upload again.
It turns out I'm having this issue with more than one entry. Are you able to explain to me how I fine the feature service item. Nothing like the first day to find the flaws in a project eh?
Thank you, thank you, exactly what I needed! I so appreciate all the help.
