ESRI Collector screen rotation locked

We use Samsung Tab S2 for data collection in the field. I personally feel collecting data in landscape view in Collector is cumbersome. On older Tab A's we could rotate the devices or lock them in landscape or portrait view. This functionality is not possible with this tablet. Is ESRI coming up with a settings change were users can specify which rotation they want to use in Collector? If not they should

yes - what a mess! just arrived in the field to find that the collector app only displays in landscape mode, and when I edit an entry, the keyboard pops up (even though my field are only selections from dropdowns, there is no text to enter) and blocks almost the entire screen!! do you know if it's due to a recent android update? I am considering setting it back a version...

Workaround

I use a Samsung galaxy tab 10,  this is my workaround.

1 start collector and a browser,  make sure your tab is in portrait 

2. Split the screen and tap on the split button on collector. 

QED. 

Your keyboard displays at the bottom without covering you map. Let me know if you didn't get it.
