Hi All,

The locations of our vehicles (lat-long and time information) are continuously stored in a SQL database. I would like to create a dashboard using this data to track their location, for example every 30 seconds. Is there a tutorial or example on how to do this? If none, I will be very grateful for any help/suggestion. Thank you very much.

Dionisio

Hi Dionisio,

You could input the SQL Server content into ArcGIS GeoEvent Server; from GeoEvent Server publish a stream service. Add the stream service to a web map - then display the web map in Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, Derek. Is there an alternative to ArcGIS GeoEvent Server? Will tracking Analyst do? Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Dionisio,

Actually, you can think of ArcGIS GeoEvent Server as a replacement product to the legacy Tracking Analyst for Server.

Hope this helps,
