Deriving historical climate data from NOAA

Dear members,

In my research project, I need to collect the monthly temperature and rainfall data from the University of Delaware which is a global gridded dataset (NOAA). I am using
Arcmap to match the global data with the shapefile of the particular country that I want to extract climate data. I collect the mean value and standard deviation using zonal statistics. However, the raw climatic data is from 1900 to 2014, so I have to do this process year by year which takes a very long time.

I hope that someone who has experience on working with environmental data can suggest a better solution.

Thank you!
Anh
