Hi,

I want to do a simple field calculate within the attribute table from a table join.

In the past with ArcMap, I would just do the join between my feature class and an excel table through a common identifier, open up the attribute table on the feature class after the join, right click the field and select FIELD CALCULATOR, on the field calculator menu I would make sure the VB script radio button was selected, select the field from my join that I wanted to extract and transfer over to a field, bring it to the VB window and it would show the following:

FIELDNAME1=

[FIELDNAMEN2]

Then I would press the OK button and it would do the field calculation process.

In ArcGIS Pro, I now have to do the same process through a GP tool with Python 3, SQL, and Arcade as my options.

I'm not familiar with any of those 3 programing languages and would like to know how to perform the process I describe with any of those 3 programing languages in ArcGIS Pro.
