My Story Map Journal is stuck!

I worked on it for about an hour and then clicked SAVE (blue button, upper right), and the Save icon is still cycling and I can't do anything. What should I do?

More info:

It is still "saving", hours later.

When I click "Share", it says "Checking for issues" and that never finishes, either.

Do I have to close it down and start over?

Deanne, that's tough. I'm not sure at this point since I wouldn't want you to lose your data. Can you open the potentially saved map in another tab to see if it actually saved?

You might want to switch this thread to Story Maps‌ so it will get more visibility. 

For one thing, your story map is not public, so people on here cannot view it.

Thanks Adrian. I ended up bailing out. Nothing was saved. Fortunately I hadn’t gotten very far and I’m re-building it pretty quickly.

Hmmm, that's too bad. I guess the save-early-and-save-often mantra is the best bet in story maps, particularly Map Journal ones.
