Editing AGOL data with restrictions

Question asked by kenbuja on Feb 20, 2018

I have a hosted feature service on AGOL where I have turned off the ability to edit certain fields. This service contains a feature class and two related tables. In the Visualization tab of the service, I turned off editing for the fields in the feature class, but I want the related tables to retain editing capability.

However, when I bring this service into ArcGIS Pro, I can still make edits to those fields in the feature class. I don't want users to change the attributes in the feature class (or add/delete points), but they would be able to change the related tables both by adding records and editing attributes.

Is there a way to prevent users from editing those attributes in Pro? In a WAB app using this service, these fields cannot be edited but I can make changes to the related tables.
