ArcGIS ESRI asynchronous execution error

Question asked by davidlubinsky on Feb 14, 2018

Hi,

I have used this application before (two months ago), but upon rerunning my codes yesterday I get this error message:

  type
1 esriJobMessageTypeInformative
2 esriJobMessageTypeInformative
3 esriJobMessageTypeError
4 esriJobMessageTypeError
description
1 Submitted.
2 Executing...
3 Expected property name; state : inPropertyValue; buffer : :null,"distance_units":null,"uturn_policy":null,"p
4 Failed.

This is obtained in R using the POST function:

x <- POST(url=u,
body=list(token=token,
orders=odr,
depots=dpt,
routes=rts,
time_units="Hours",
distance_units="Kilometers",
uturn_policy="NO_UTURNS",
populate_directions="true",
directions_language="en",
default_date="1348984800000",
f="json"),
encoding=c("json"))

where odr, dpt and rts contain the json format orders, depots and routes for my problem. So then I used x to obtain JobID which then leads me to the error message. The error says it expects a state and its inProperyValue but I've specified all the mandatory fields? It also mentions a "buffer" (which I didn't specify), and the parameter choices for "distance_units" and "uturn_policy"are ignored.

For minimal example of R using POST function, please see attached R script. The VRP example is obtained from https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/network/api-reference/vehicle-routing-problem-service.htm

Thanks

David
