Graduated symbology not finding all values with 1:M joined table

I am working on a time animation where I would like the symbology to be graduated.  I am using ArcGIS Pro 2.0.

I have one polygon which is joined to a table containing the temporal data and values for the symbology to be taken from. Polygon ID is Area1 and the subsequent temporal data has a field with Area1 next to all of the time and values I want. The join itself appears to be working as when I skip through time the labelling changes to reflect the value in each time field.

However when I try to add graduated symbology it only finds the initial value from the join and does not allow me to use all of the values to create the symbology I want.

This blog https://resources.esri.ca/getting-technical/geodatabase-secrets-creating-animations-with-a-one-to-many-join says it is possible in ArcMap so I would presume it should also be possible in ArcPro.

Can anyone offer any assistance?

Thanks in advance.

Graham
