Hello, i´m would like to take an esri certification exam, so i want to get ready for it, can someone help me, what was his experience taking arcgis desktop esri exam
Here's a previous thread here on GeoNet on the subject that may offer some insights:
In terms of what it is like, I took the ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 Associate exam a few years ago and can offer some observations from that experience:
Chris Donohue, GISP
I would differ with Chris on "Be sure to study all the topics, as you will get questions from all areas."
Considering you are interested in ArcGIS Desktop Associate 10.5 certification exam, I am putting down the following points.
The questions will come from the topics (also check weightage for each section) mentioned under "Skills Measured" tab of https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/582b66ac146072a52e8e558a/arcgis-desktop-associate-10.5/
So concentrate on these topics.
For the preparation, please see the Preparation Resources https://www.esri.com/training/assets/courses/582b66ac146072a52e8e558a/PreparationResourcesEADA105.pd...
Jessi Mielke (from Esri Certification team) also mentioned in Esri Technical Certification Exam that Esri will be releasing a 10.5 version of the guide (for Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate Certification) in late March which should be available for pre-order soon. This guide book could be quite handy for your preparation for the exam.
You could also reach out to Esri Certification team (certification@esri.com) for any query related to Esri technical certification.
Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate Certification Study Guide for 10.5
Publishing in March 2018, e-book available in February 2018
Hi Carlos,
Thank you for your interest in Esri Technical Certification! Both Chris Donohue, GISP and Jayanta Poddar make great points based on their experiences with exam preparation.
There are many resources available to assist you in preparing for an exam. In addition to the items mentioned above, I would add joining our LinkedIn and GeoNet groups to interact directly with other individuals who are preparing to take an exam or have already taken an exam. Also, please visit our Training Services website and search the catalog with keyword "certification" to access our free preparation web course. based on each exam.
As always, please feel free to reach out to our team with any questions or comments you might have before your exam.
Good Luck!!
