How to pass latitude and longitude as input the Arc GIS java script api

I'm new to this api .

I want to know how to pass latitude and longitude as input and locate the place .

for example 58° 32' 36.71" E  , 23° 36' 4.04" N.

Please suggest with some example .

Is there any java script api in Arc GIS which takes latitude/longitude or x,y coordinates and locate the point on the map .

I hardly find an example .
