For what do i need the lib "libArcGISRuntimeToolkitCppApi.so"?
Maybe relevant for LocationViewshed?
Hi Norbert Thoden,
This is a new piece we've added to the SDK with some nice features. The source is available if you want to take a look: arcgis-runtime-toolkit-qt/Plugin at master · Esri/arcgis-runtime-toolkit-qt · GitHub
Here's the documentation for the toolkit: ArcGIS Runtime Toolkit for Qt.
Some of the new features are the ArcGIS Compass Tool and the Coordinate Conversion Tool.
Thank you James!
I am very interessted in using the Compass (See also V100.2 compass tool )
But some tools seems to be available for QML and some also for 'Other': 'Compass' and 'Coordinate Conversion'
Therefore i assume, that the compass is available WITHOUT using QML, right?
But how? The API Reference suggest an includefile lile: "#include <ArcGISCompassController>"
Though i installed the complete package (until the postInstaller arises) i was not able to find such an include file...
Can someone explain, what i´m missing?
The out-of-the-box components are designed to work with the Qml "Quick" views from the C++ Api. On the bright side, the source is all available and it shouldn't be too much effort to make some quick tweaks to get them to work with our Widgets "QGraphicsView" views.
The toolkit headers are included under <install_location>/Qt100.2/sdk/toolkit/Plugin/CppApi/include
We have a handy Qt project include file (.pri) that you can include in your project to add all the needed include and linker paths. See <install_location>/Qt100.2/sdk/ideintegration/arcgis_runtime_toolkit_cpp.pri
If you want to modify the toolkit and incorporate one you've built locally, you would include "ArcGISRuntimeToolkit.pri" in your project from your local toolkit build, rather than "arcgis_runtime_toolkit_cpp.pri" included with the setup.
Here's where that file can be found in GitHub: arcgis-runtime-toolkit-qt/ArcGISRuntimeToolkit.pri
