Layer not rendering in Firefox

Question asked by franklin.alexander on Jan 4, 2018

I have been working on updating an application from WAB 1.1 to WAB 2.4 and there is one issue I have not been able to resolve. The app is configured to fetch data from a server and render a point layer of the results onto the basemap when the app starts. The code for this is located in the splash screen js file. It works fine in Chrome and Explorer, but for some reason, the layer will not render upon startup in Firefox. The actual Splash Screen javascript is exactly the same in both the older and newer versions so I am a little perplexed as to where to go from here. The only way I can get the data to render in Firefox is when I run a query from the query widget. This interesting thing, is that the actual code used to render the results is exactly the same as in the Spash Screen js, the only difference I can think of is that when you query the database from the query widget, the query gets initiated from the html file.
