Hi! I'm looking for tips on the best way to collect metadata from spatial contributors in your organization? What has worked for you?
- Email a basic form/list of key questions? (purpose of app, key words, sensitive/open etc)
- View new items that week, and contact publisher?
- Enforce that metadata be updated before publishing?
With the increase of #arcgisonline and soon the story maps of #insights and apps being produced quickly each week will double or triple in count, what is the best way to collect metadata information? I am walking a fine line between encouraging users to contribute, then enforcing (researching) metadata on their contributions. Without the metadata, the contributions are less apt to be used, or considered valid.
