Application works fine on iPhone but on the iPad I get:
json parse error unrecognized token '<'
I just figure it out, I was missing the "s" on https://
On the iPad are you using Safari or Chrome?
I tried both with the same results, clear cache on both also.
Is it a public site I can test. I have not had any issue with my site on an iPad.
Thank you Robert! I just started moving to WAB from flex, I forgot that for whatever reason when I add my layers to my maps that I going to be using on my WAB app I can only add from my secure GIS server making the app only https://. I see that your widgets live preview sites are not secure, I will have to investigate how to allow http:// sites also. My sites are public but they are only tests for now, interestingly enough I can get to my sites from my PC with only http:// i just get the message this is not a secure site.

The normal culprit for the required https when using WAB is that you entered a https url when you set the portal url when first setting up WAB Dev. If you go to the [instal dir]\server and delete the signininfo.json file and then restart WAB it will ask for the portal url again and this time use http not https.
Good to know! I already have a long list of tips. Thank you.
Since you are just new to WAB, for other tips, news, training, and widgets, check out my blogs..starting with

A bit messy, but I update often. fwiw.
Hi all! Well, just finished my first WAB app. It works on the desktop but I still have a problem with mobile devices, this time I get no errors just hangs, on the desktop chrome developer tools give the below report, could that cause the problem on the mobile devices? Any help is appreciated
app url: https://gis.orangecountygov.com/wabparcels/
You have not added *.woff and *.woff2 mime type to your web server:
Set mime types for web fonts in IIS » Coding Still
Thank you Robert! I followed the instructions and the site now runs on mobile devices, could you let me know which widget needs those fonts, I would like to add it to my notes. Daniel
The LayerList widget is one I can think of off hand. The whole apps popup is another.
OK. Now my mobile app is fully operational but my desktop app is missing the splash screen, any suggestions?
Did you configure the Splash Widget to allow "Option for user to disable splash screen on application startup."
This is the way it is
Because you do not have "Always show this splash screen every time the app launches" means that once the user confirms on that machine the splash will not show again.
Robert. Thank you for all your help, I think I understand the settings better, a bit different from flash. Daniel
