How to draw overlays in Arcgis Android 10.2.9?
Ahh, thank you for that information.
Based on that documentation you provided, I think you may be interested in touch listeners:
MapOnTouchListener | ArcGIS Android 10.2.9 API
What exactly are you looking to accomplish? Do you want to draw graphics with a tool like the sketch editor? Are you trying to add raster images to the map? Are you trying to add feature layers to the map?
thanks for reply. I once used Arcgis runtime for Java SE and there was MapOverlay class (Interact with the map—ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java | ArcGIS for Developers ) and I could make my own Overlay classes by extending it. Where I used: I draw 2 polygons for instance, and user can select either one of them and I can easily handle it using overlays. In Arcgis for Android 10.2.9 I could not find MapOverlay class for these operations. What do you advice for use?
Ok Thank you
That was enough for me, so I understand now MapOntouchListeners are developed instead of MapOverlays for mobile devices..
Awesome! Glad to have helped!
How to detach a TouchListener from a MapView?
I searched the Internet some suggest :
But they are not sure if that is the correct solution.
Hello I found the solution:
MapOnTouchListener mapOnTouchListener = new MapOnTouchListener(myMapActivity, MyMapActivity.mapView);MyMapActivity.mapView.setOnTouchListener(mapOnTouchListener);(assuming mapView is static member of MyMapActivity main class)
