ArcCatalog shows layers in descending order

Sometimes ArcCatalog list all layers on descending order. How can I change them back to ascending order ?

Maybe you could just double-click the name tab in ArcCatalog. Is this what you wanted to know?

I am getting the descending order when I try to change a datasource for a .lyr file in ArcCatalog.

Change the Contents View Type to Details. Then double-click on the Name tab.
