Extracting data to points from a raster with associated database

I have loaded the HWSD (Harmonised world soils database- available at IIASA - Land Use Change and Agriculture Program ) into ARCGIS and have associated the database to the raster. In other words I have a raster layer where I have built an attributes table from a database. My next task is that I need to extract all of this data to a set of points that I have in a shape file. How can I do this? Extract multivalues to points only adds a "HWSD" column to the shape file attribute table but I want it to add all of the columns from the HWSD attributes table. Does that make sense?

I think extract by points may work (though I have yet to look up the difference between inside and outside) but I can't seem to add a shape file containing the points and don't want to add them manually as I want thousands at a time.

When I have done a similar task but with a shape file rather than a raster I used SpatialJoin but this doesnt seem to work for raster layers.

Any ideas?
