I am on the trial AGOL.  I have already used up my give service credit.  My service credit on the "view status" on my organization tab shows 0.00.  I delete all the files that I have published before but the service credit does not get back to me.  I am thinking how I can retrieve my service credit.

Hai,

If you have already consumed your service credits online you need to purchase more credits by contacting Customer Support for this.

Once the credits have been consumed there is no refund policy. You might want to go through the following documents:

I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, I guess I have another question

When does Esri takes my service credits whenever I publish a service on my Arcgis online account ?

You need to refer Understand credits—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

This explains the credit consumption. However, if you have any queries in this regard, I'd suggest you to contact Esri Technical Support and get them sorted.

Check the table in ArcGIS Online | Service Credits.

If you create tiles directly while publishing in ArcGIS Online, it will consume a huge amount of credits. Check the methodology I shared for generating tiles without consuming any credit in ArcGIS Online.

Apart from Tile Generation, Storage of Feature Services, Tiles and other data storage will also consume credits after the service is published.

The Following does not require any service credits:

  • Accessing the data you store in ArcGIS Online in apps.
  • Using ArcGIS Online foundation maps and data (basemaps, Landsat imagery, landscape layers, live traffic, and other live feeds).
  • Exporting data stored in ArcGIS Online.
  • Performing single address or place search.
  • Leveraging your own ArcGIS for Server capabilities to host and publish map services.

Adding to Shantonu, if you sign up for an ArcGIS for Developers Program, you will receive monthly service credits (50) which will get replenished after the end of each month. ArcGIS Developer Subscription (Essentials) is free, but it doesn't include ArcGIS Online Organization. Other subscriptions are based on Annual subscription charges. Pricing | ArcGIS for Developers

Also choose the use of different capabilities wisely. Some capabilities consumes a huge amount of service credits. One of the capabilities, that is used by many users, is Creation of Tile Services (Tile Generation). You could https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-2996-publish-a-tiled-service-to-arcgis-online-wo-arcgis-for-serv.... This method will save a lot of your service credits.
