what did you do recently? Upgrade windows? ArcMap? Did you reset your application profile? Repair the installation?
A starting point is needed for a solution, so perhaps the version of windows and arcmap first, then what if any 'events' occurred between when it was working and when it didn't
I update windows automatically. I did repair an installation of ArcMap recently (to try to correct this issue).
This seems possible, but it predates the update to windows
and an oldie, but goodie
That didnt fix it.
Out of the usual and unusual ideas. Have you logged an issue with tech support? they may be able to burrow down further into your setup and other things that haven't been reported on GeoNet or elsewhere
Ensure there is no failed Windows update.
Close all ArcGIS Desktop applications.
Then, delete Desktop10.x folder inside C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\.
That didn’t fix the issue.
