Edited records stuck in Outbox (v. 2.1.6); error code 500

I currently have a Survey 123 form running on an enterprise layer and related table, attachment table.  If I initiate a survey and send it, that works fine.  If I go to the Sent box, edit the survey, and send the survey, no updates are made (record remains in Outbox).

I get the following error:

Send Error

This survey was not able to be sent due to the following error:

Code 500

Unable to complete operation.

Hi Samantha,

It's a bit hard to diagnose from just the description of the error message.  A couple of things to check:

- is the service set up to allow for updating of data in addition to adding data?

- is the service set up with the Sync capability?

If you can generate a log file (see Troubleshoot—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ; instead of logging to a console, it can save to a file in <user director>/ArcGIS/AppStudio/Logs ) and forward that along (feel free to e-mail me at jtedrick @ Esri.com) that will help understanding the issue.
