We were supposed to collect data using Survey 123 but when we changed our device to Asus fonepad, the app seems to crash whenever we're signing in. Any solutions?

The app seems to work okay with our other mobile devices. We just have issues when we use ASUS fonepad note FHD6. After typing Sign in requirements to the app, the app immediately closes.

From ... this link ... there are some obvious software requirements, but just above supported languages are references to hardware suggestions that may be worth a look

needed a while back . we still can't pinpoint where the problem is.

Hi Mae,

Just to confirm, is this the device: Asus Fonepad - Full phone specifications (from 2013)?

This sounds like a problem that some other devices of that time have with Survey123; it essentially has to do with some limits set in the operating system by the device manufacturer.  We have previously done specialized builds of the application to attempt to work around it; I can try to see if we can make one of those available (it would need to be side loaded, rather than installed from the app store).

Hi Mae,

There may be one of a few different things about the device that might be causing Survey123 to crash- Android device makers have a lot of capability in 'tweaking' Android for their devices.  Unfortunately, there's not an obvious issue that we know about at this point of time based that matches the description and system specifications that we know about.
