In ArcMap I frequently apply unique values/category symbology to layers with several tens of thousands of unique values. This is very fast in ArcMap and has never caused me any issues, however on ArcGIS Pro the same thing seems to take forever and lock up the interface for up to an hour while it applies the symbology. If I then want to edit the properties of all symbols that's another long wait. When it's finally finished the whole application becomes so slow it's unusable.
Is there any workaround and/or is this something that's being looked at?
