I updated ArcGis Desktop from 10.4 to 10.5 and can't get my data moved over.

What kind of data do you need moved over (e.g. SDE, file gdb, shapaefiles)?

do you mean when you open up a 10.4 project that the data didn't carry over?

Are you seeing Red X's where your data once was? (like in the Table of Contents?)

If you are using an enterprise database, I know that 10.5 has dropped support for MSSQL 2008 for example.  Taht is one of the things that is holding us back from upgrading (waiting on new SQL servers) .

You may want to out one of the links for the system requirements for whatever database you may use.  I'll include the MSSQL link, but the TOC list many others.

Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS 10.5—System Requirements | ArcGIS Desktop

Or, if not an enterprise database issue, maybe Trimble is not yet supported or supporting 10.5.  ???
